After more than a dozen trips that feeling still recurs, so we have set out to capture elements of the complex sonic world of urban Japan. Ranging from metropolitan Tokyo and Osaka business districts, residential areas & parks, mass transit systems, as well as smaller cities and towns such as Kawasaki, Yokohama, Kyoto, Kobe, Amagasaki and Ofuna. Ambiences range from busy freeway and shopping areas, to quieter back streets and suburban zones. Recorded, edited and delivered multitrack via Sennheiser MKH8040x2 ORTF LR plus MKH8020x2 spaced omni microphones and Sound Devices 788T recorder.
