– Sanken CUX100K mics x2
– Ehrlund EAP 100K Contact Mics x2
– LOM Geofon
with Sound Devices Mix Pre 10-II 32bit float recorder.
First half of the new library focuses on one sheet or roof iron, with a contact mic at each end and a CUX100K mic on each side.
Second half works with two seperate sheets, with a CUX100K mic and a contact mic on each, for discrete/dual sound effects.
Hits and impacts performed with mallets ranging from metal hammer through wood drumsticks, soft vibraphone mallets, wire brushes and fluffy wool bass drum mallets.
Textures and tones were performed using friction mallets, double bass bow, wind up toys, vibe guns, metal claws, jagged branches…
